What is Stealth Sentinel?
Stealth Sentinel is our subscription-based service that puts you in control of what happens in the unfortunate event that your asset is stolen. Once in Theft Mode, your app will direct you to contact our Stealth Sentinel team. Our experts will give you the choice of a handover of your asset’s location to your local Police force, or you will have the option to activate our recovery team to track down your asset and make every effort to return it to you. By taking out one of our subscription packages, the fees associated with the recovery process will be reduced, plus you’ll have access to other benefits, including discounts on future Stealth Tracer product purchases.
Location monitoring in Theft Mode
For your own personal safety, once Theft Mode is activated our Stealth Sentinel team takes control of tracking your asset's location.
Secure Police Handover
After contacting the Stealth Sentinel response team, you will be given the option for your asset's live location details to be handed over to your local Police force for civil recovery. Prior to calling our Sentinel team, you should always contact your local Police force directly to obtain a Crime Reference Number.
Recovery & Repatriation service (optional)
Our Stealth Sentinel response team will advise you of the cost to activate our Sentinel recovery team and the return of your asset on successful recovery.

How the Stealth Sentinel recovery process works
In the event that you believe your asset has been stolen, it is important that you follow the appropriate process, regardless of whether you are a Stealth Sentinel subscriber or not. Even if you are not a subscriber, you can still use our Stealth Sentinel service simply by getting in touch with our Sentinel team via the in-app process that is triggered by activating Theft Mode.
Call the Police to obtain a crime reference number for your stolen asset
As with any crime, it is crucial to alert your local Police force if you believe a theft has occurred - and you must do this before you activate Theft Mode in app or contact our Sentinel team. The Police will give you a Crime Reference Number, which you will need to give to our Sentinel team once you make contact, and this will also be needed should you go on to make an insurance claim.
Enter your device into Theft Mode
On your main app Dashboard screen, activate Theft Mode and follow the prompts on screen. Once you have done this, you will be blocked from seeing subsequent location updates from your device for your own personal safety. Stealth Tracer does not recommend that you attempt to recover your asset personally as this can place you in a position of risk.
Connect to the Stealth Sentinel Recovery team via the app
When you make contact with our Sentinel Team, they’ll talk you through what needs to happen and your options for how the theft is now handled, including the process with your insurance company, and the costs that will be incurred if you wish for the Sentinel team to attempt recovery of your asset
Decide between a local Police handover or activating our Sentinel recovery team
At this point, the choice is completely yours as to whether you want the matter to be pursued purely by your local Police force, or have a recovery attempted by our Sentinel Recovery team. Whilst there will be costs incurred for this, remember that Police resources are stretched and our Sentinel team are highly-trained individuals that are solely focused on tracking down stolen assets.
